Works in Progress

Currently working on an oil painting for the Walls of Wittenberg Juried Exhibition. With the theme of "Savoring Summer" I decided to paint a large close-up of cabbage. The painting size is 3' x 4'. For this painting I am working with a reduction technique for the underpainting and will go back in and add in the highlights and shadows to really make the leaves pop. I'm about half way done and will be working some late nights in the studio to try to get it complete by this weekend.
